giants of the early 20th century. These performances are selected
[00:29 - 00:34]
from more than 1000 Recordings. On duo are reproducing piano rolls
[00:34 - 00:39]
collected by Dr. Campbell stuff. The chairman of the music department at Washington
[00:39 - 00:44]
State University. The duo was a highly sophisticated refinement of
[00:44 - 00:49]
the player piano. Developed to preserve actual performances of concert
[00:49 - 00:54]
artists in the days before. I like chronic record. Now here
[00:54 - 00:59]
is Campbell stout. To introduce today's legendary pianist.

So far as I have been able to determine Maurice Ravel recorded only five works for the duo

are all of them his own compositions. Dave recited opens with his performance of
